Express Employment Professionals of NEA host drive-thru job fair
Unemployment has been an issue during this covid-19 pandemic, but with the help of express employment professionals that can change.
A drive thru- option is now a safe and creative way to help people in need. Which is how express employment professionals of Northeast Arkansas made it happen.
“We had out first person pull through at about 8:20 this morning and I would say we’ve had about 40-50 people so far,” franchise owner Express Employment Professionals NEA, Scott Holden said.
Today’s job fair intends to help fill about 110 positions at Nice Pak in Jonesboro.
Nice Pak is a global leader in the wet wipe and disinfectant industry as the product is on the front line to help fight this coronavirus.
Holden says with the increase in demand for products, they have a lots of position open.
“Some good things about this today. We’ve seen families pull up with a couple toddlers in their vehicles where that might have been a barrier to them with a traditional job fair or traditional in person interview,” Holden said.
In the fair, Express employees went car to car to complete the application process. After the applicant’s background and drug tests, holden says those that applied could begin working within 48 hours.
He says being able to successfully help their clients during this climate is a win- win.
“Still being able to think outside the box and meet our clients needs and be able to meet the worker of Northeast Arkansas needs it’s just been a tremendous opportunity for us to get out here and we’re just excited to be out and blessed to be a part of northeast Arkansas and be able to put people to work,” Holden said.
