Craighead County test voting machines

Craighead County Election Commissioners met this morning to test all the voting machines.

Election officials are required to test all machines at least a week before election day.

This gives them time to fix any problems before voting begins.

The testing process includes inserting a card and performing a test vote to make sure the machines are working properly.

“That way if we run into problems with a machine today we have 2 weeks to fix it get it tested again. It’s also go for us and the public to reinsure that these machines work like they’re supposed to,” Election official, Korley Martin said.

Early voting begins October 19th.
