Roach Manufacturing Corporation expanding, adding jobs to Caraway plant

CARAWAY, Ark- Governor Hutchinson along with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, spent his morning in Caraway.

The Governor announce Roach Manufacturing Corporation is expanding and will add thirty jobs to their Caraway Manufacturing plant.

“Today they’ve given me permission to make the announcement that Roach Manufacturing is creating thirty additional jobs here in Caraway,” says Gov. Hutchinson. “You will also be expanding the square footage of this facility."

The additional jobs will be added over the next two years.

The expansion and jobs will bring an economic boost to Caraway.

The conveyor and conveying equipment manufacturing company currently has 15 employees but will triple with the additional jobs.

R.M.C. will also construct a 25,000 square foot addition to their facility that they moved into in 2019.

Caraway Mayor Bo James says today is monumental day for the town.

“It’s a big day for Caraway. Not only is this good for our economic growth in Caraway, Arkansas but this is good for the residential growth,” says Mayor James. “This brings employees here that want to live here. These employees are from a small radius of Caraway, Arkansas.”

Mayor James says he will continue to help grow caraway.

R.M.C. currently has a total of three manufacturing plants in Trumann and Caraway, employing a total of 375 people.

Vice President of Manufacturing for R.M.C., Mike Roach says they plan to be part of the Caraway community for years to come and invest in the Riverside School District.

“A special thanks to Mayor Bo James of course,” says Roach. “He brought us here, got us to come here, and certainly, we will never look back and, we are here in Caraway to stay. While I’m up here, we would like to show our commitment to Caraway community. Here is our first installment of $2,500 of our $10,000 commitment to renovate the Caraway gym.”

With R.M.C.’s investment in caraway, Gov. Hutchinson says overall it’s a win for the town.

"For a small community that means people have a job, they’re not having to rely on unemployment,” says Gov. Hutchinson. “They can provide for their families and, it gives them pride in the craftsmanship of the work that they do.”

Gov. Hutchinson also said it’s important to remember small town communities like Caraway when it comes to attracting industries to town.
