Car seat clinic brings awareness to child safety

Kion Pediatrics and the Jonesboro Police Department partnered up to make sure kids are strapped in well.

The two partnered up to host a drive-thru car seat safety clinic.

The free event was open for all parents and expecting parents in the Kion Pediatrics parking lot.

According to nurse practitioner at Kion, Becca Ward, many parents had questions about proper car seat safety.

Attendee Kelly Hays says installing a car seat can be difficult, so she’s happy the clinic was offered.

“Dr. Kris’ office would have the best of the best here to help us make sure our kids were safe,” says attendee Kelly Hays. “Getting a new car seat can be difficult for us. even reading the instruction manual you always want to make sure that it’s exactly how you need it to be at all times. just having someone come behind you has been a lot easier and gives you a peace of mind.”

The clinic did follow social distancing guidelines and calls the event a success.
