First Case of COVID-19 in Craighead County
According to an email from Judge Marvin Day and Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin, the first case of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been confirmed. We have been told that the individual had recent domestic travel and recently started to show symptoms.
During his press conference today, Governor Asa Hutchinson announced 9 new confirmed COVID-19 9 cases in Clark, Craighead, Grant, Independence, Poinsett, Pope, Searcy, Sevier and Van Buren counties.
This brings the number of confirmed cases in the state to 62 with 3 individuals being hospitalized.
6 cases- Children
15 cases- Adults ages 65 and older
41 cases- Adults ages 19-64
Governor Hutchinson also extended school closures across the state until April 17th.
