Gentry Bond Set at $5 Million

January 2, 2019

Jonesboro Police say 35-year-old Lewis Gamble was shot around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon on West Huntington street. Police have arrested 29-year-old Markus Gentry as the suspect. He appeared today in video court for a probable cause hearing. Gentry is facing charges for first degree murder and has been given a 5-million-dollar bond. A prosecuting attorney appeared in court to plead for the high bond. She said Gentry was a self-admitted gang member with many ties to Houston, Texas, and had multiple felonies already. Meanwhile, neighbors near the barber shop are wanting people to be careful. Workers from big UNK’s told us they will be having a candle vigil Thursday night for Gamble at 6p.
