Local Organizations Join Forces To Provide Christmas Meals
More community leaders are joining forces to help spread Christmas cheer to those in need in Jonesboro.
AR Care and Refuge Church in Jonesboro partnered to provide dozens of families with Christmas meals at the Refuge Hope Center in Jonesboro.
Visitors received bags stacked with frozen turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans and cranberry sauce.
The event aims to make Christmas brighter and meet the needs of residents across Jonesboro. Refuge church pastor matt smith it sends a message hope and help is available to everyone, no matter where they come from.
“For us to be able to partner together and meet some needs that are basic in the holiday time really enables there to be a sense of hope in the community,” says Pastor Matt Smith of Refuge Church. “While we can’t meet every need, we can meet some of them.”
The Refuge Hope Center provides free meals and assistance to the community with the Provision 88 Food Ministry. The Refuge Hope Center is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 2:30pm.
