Jonesboro Mayor Back on the Job after Fender Bender

Jonesboro Mayor Harrold Perrin is back at work after a fender bender this afternoon. Communications Chief Bill Campbell says Perrin returned to the job this afternoon a few hours after the incident. He had a minor injury with a nasty cut on the left arm.

Jonesboro Police Cpl. David McDaniel says the Mayor was south bound on Red Wolf Blvd in the right hand lane. He was stationary at a red light at the Race St. Intersection.

There was a vehicle stationary behind him. The light turned green and the vehicle behind the mayor accelerated quickly and struck the rear bumper of the mayor’s vehicle.

Medic One ambulance service arrived at the collision and treated an injury sustained by the mayor. The other driver refused medical treatment and both drivers were released from the scene.
