Job Fair Announced for Jonesboro – July 25, 2018
(editors note: There is a correction to the Job Fair address. The job fair is on Washington not Jackson)
Kasi Miller, Vocational Services Coordinator for the Springdale, Arkansas non-profit, Arkansas Support Network today announced the July 25, 2018 date for the Jonesboro Job Fair, an inclusive event for people with disabilities, as well as the general public in need of employment. The Job Fair, Employing Possibilities, will be held at St Bernard’s Auditorium, 505 East Washington Avenue. It will run from 10 until 2pm. There are no booth fees for employers and a light lunch will be served for those manning booths at the fair. The cost of the fairs has been provided to ASN through a grant funded by the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities. The initiative aims to inform employers in Arkansas about the benefit of hiring people with disabilities and connecting job seekers with disabilities with inclusive employers.
“More than 1 in 5 citizens in the United States have a disability. We want to give all individuals an opportunity to work and be recognized for the good work they do. People with disabilities have consistently been hard working, conscientious, and some of the best employees any business would be proud of. We hope these job fairs will help open doors for many in the communities in which they are being held,” states Kasi Miller of Arkansas Support Network. “This is an inclusive job fair, open to all who seek employment.”
Other fairs will be held in Ft. Smith on August 9, Russellville on August 15, and Camden on August 21. Media and the public are invited to attend.
