JONESBORO, AR – Local product Austin Cook will be proudly sporting the logo of a local company this week as he competes in the FedEx St. Jude Classic PGA golf tournament in Memphis.

Ritter Communications, headquartered in Jonesboro, announced Wednesday that the company reached a sponsorship agreement with Cook, a Jonesboro native who this week will make his 30th career PGA Tour appearance. Cook’s Oakley-branded golf shirt will feature a Ritter Communications logo on its right chest.

“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Ritter Communications,” Cook said. “They’re a great company that goes above and beyond to serve my hometown community. I’m excited to get to represent a little bit of home while I play.”

Ritter Communications provides internet, phone, video and cloud services to residents and businesses in Arkansas and Tennessee, and the company is extremely active in the communities it serves.

“Ritter Communications has a longstanding history of community support, and Austin is a great representative of Jonesboro and the state of Arkansas,” Ritter Communications President Alan Morse said. “He’s worked incredibly hard to achieve success on and off the course, and we are ecstatic that he’ll be wearing our logo as he pursues another PGA Tour victory this week.”

Cook is a 2009 graduate of Jonesboro High School and played collegiately at the University of Arkansas. He earned his first PGA Tour victory last November when he won the RSM Classic in Georgia. The first round of the FedEx St. Jude Classic tees off Thursday at TPC Southwind in Memphis. The Golf Channel will carry live coverage Thursday through Friday (3-6 p.m. CST). On Saturday and Sunday, coverage will be split between the Golf Channel (Noon to 1:45 p.m.) and CBS (2-5 p.m.).
