Trumann Police make arrest on Robbery and Kidnapping suspects

On Monday April 30 at 7:30pm officers responded to a call at Cedar Park in reference to a female being kidnapped at gun point. Witnesses were able to describe a white male and while female carrying a black pistol and wooden bat had forced the victims, into a white Nissan Altima.

A few hours later the suspects, Amanda Tippitt (w/f) and Danny Brown (w/m), returned the victims back to their home where law enforcement was still staged.

Following a felony traffic stop on the suspects’ vehicle Brown and Tippitt were taken into custody without incident. The victims later informed investigators the kidnapping stemmed from a drug deal gone wrong. After the victims had pled with their co-conspirators to release them, the victims stated Tippitt and Brown threw their weapons from their vehicle near Bay. Investigators were able to locate the weapons shortly afterward.

Brown and Tippitt are expected to be charged with Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Obstructing Governmental Operations, Possession of a firearm by certain persons, and Terroristic Threatening.
