FLAG DISPLAYS MONDAY FOR PRESIDENTS’ DAY

US flags will be displayed during daylight hours at many Jonesboro area businesses and offices on Monday, February 19th in recognition of Presidents’ Day, weather permitting -- i.e., if there is less than a 50% prediction of rain or snow. The flag display is part of a longstanding service project provided to the community by the Jonesboro University Heights Lions Club, which provides both the flags and the flag brackets for a nominal charge of $40 per year. Club members display the flags at least ten times a year on national holidays and special days.
