– On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, Ron Schechter, MD, orthopedic surgeon at NEA Baptist Clinic, will be the highlighted speaker at the quarterly NEA Baptist Health Talk Series: Advances in Joint Replacement Surgery.
Dr. Schechter, a board certified physician, offers years of experience in providing a variety of orthopedic needs including the evaluation of musculoskeletal conditions. A few of the commonly treated conditions include sports medicine, total and partial knee replacement, total hip replacement, total shoulder replacement, repair of broken bones and more. The luncheon will highlight advances in joint replacement surgery, including characteristics of candidates, what to expect and quality of life.
The doors will open at 11:30 am, allowing participants time to browse booths with health education resources. The program, including lunch, will begin at 12 pm. There will be a question and answer session with Dr. Schechter following his presentation. The luncheon will be held at Southwest Church of Christ, 1601 James Street, Jonesboro.

Dr. Ron Schechter is a board certified orthopedic surgeon at NEA Baptist. Dr. Schechter received his education from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and went on to complete his residency there. Dr. Schechter's certifications include: American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Board Certification and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Fellow. He has been in practice since 1996.
