Republican candidate for governor Jan Morgan spoke in front of a standing room only crowd tonight in Jonesboro at the Best Western. The Hot Springs small business owner and FOX political commentator spoke on a number of different issues. Monday she stopped by the Northeast Arkansas News studio. She spoke on immigration, infrastructure and the need to get rid of a state income tax. Morgan told the Tea Party members, “ Our state is using every taxing tool allowed by law to tax our citizens.We don’t have to do that, we don’t need a state income taxWe’re trying to compete against Texas, Florida and Tennessee that don't have state income tax.” Morgan faces governor Asa Hutchinson in the May primary. She bills herself as a true Republican.
