Allison donations keep Red Wolves at top of their game
The Allison family set historic records with their financial contributions to Arkansas State University, the Red Wolves Foundation, and the Jonesboro community.
To date, the Allison family has donated two personal financial gifts of five million dollars. The first five million went to the press box otherwise known as the Centennial Bank Expansion in 2014, and the second to yesterday’s end zone facility and field renaming.
Johnny Allison expressed his appreciation for Jonesboro’s city officials and football leadership at Arkansas State’s Board of Trustees meeting.
Johnny Allison told Northeast Arkansas News, “This is about building together. I told you in 2014 when we made what was then said to be the largest financial contribution that had ever been made to ASU that we weren’t here for the short-run, but for the long run.”
The five million-dollar commitments are the largest personal gifts in A-State athletics history. Johnny Allison is the chairman and founder of Home Bancshares, which owns Centennial Bank.
