Railroad Work Requires Alternating Lane Closures on U.S. Highway 63 in Ravenden
LAWRENCE COUNTY (9-19) – Railroad work on the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway railroad crossing in the city of Ravenden will require alternating lane closures on U.S. Highway 63, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting; crews will reduce traffic to one lane between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. starting on Wednesday, September 20 through Friday, September 22. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers who will allow northbound and southbound traffic to alternate using a temporary one-lane crossing at the tracks. This closure will allow BNSF to replace the railroad crossing at this location.
Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
