Early Rise Means Early Thank You

N-E-A Baptist volunteers woke up extra early today to honor local first responders at their second annual First Responder Appreciation Breakfast.

Welcoming all police officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and other first responders to enjoy a free homemade breakfast.

The menu included fruit, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, coffee, and


The health group even provided some to-go boxes for those on the clock.

Using 9-11 as a day to remember and honor all the service first responders did 16-years ago today and every other day.

“We wanted to be able to recognize the people in our community the first responders who are also at the forefront of everything going on in our region and who are putting in the long hours and they see everything and they care for our community and we wanted to show our appreciation to them said, NEA Marketing Director Danial Reed,

Reed added they are using the complimentary breakfast as a way to thank all first responders for their hard work.
